He ended up having to solve the Mystery of the Late Night Talk Show.
Mr. T and the team are being interviewed on a late night talk show hosted by William Johnson. They discuss many of their past mysteries. Suddenly, the cameras cut out, and the show goes off the air. This was no accident. The cable was cut. Mr. T and the team decide to investigate. They start by interviewing William Kaplan who was fired for stealing proceeds. However, he has an alibi. They also question William Johnson's rival, Rudolph Marx, but get nothing from him. Mr. T starts to get weirded out. The team is having trouble solving the mystery when Dick Cavett arrives with some info on the show's producer Eddie Monaghan. The talk show turns out to be struggling due to financial problems. Further investigation uncovers evidence of counterfeiting. Eddie Monaghan is eventually arrested after a lengthy chase. It turns out that he turned to counterfeiting to save the show.
Mr. T explains this mystery was a very weird mystery because a simple act of sabotage led to the uncovering of a counterfeiting scheme. He suggests to the audience that it is best not to get too weirded out if something strange happens. There is always an explanation.
